According to Anxiety Disorders Association of America (ADAA) General Anxiety Disorder also known as GAD affects 6.8 million adults, or 3.1% of the U.S. population, a year. ADAA’s research indicates that women are affected more than men with this anxiety disorder. Women are twice as likely to be affected by anxiety. Another study by Michael S. Bahrke and William P. Morgan> addresses the value of meditation and exercise for people who suffer with anxiety. The comprehensive hypnosis programs developed for my clients include the characteristics of these research findings. Hypnotherapy can help people with anxiety in a safe and effective manner.
Medical doctors, psychiatrists, and fellow university colleagues, with whom I studied psychology, refer clients to me to help people who struggle with managing their anxiety. The combination of research based techniques are a part of the PA Hypnosis Center’s “Hypnosis for Anxiety” programs. The hypnotic state, somewhat similar to a meditative state, is of great value to people who suffer with anxiety. I individualize the clients program to include hypnosis for the triggers they are aware of as well as various day to day stressors that may be problematic for the client. Our Pittsburgh clients are great examples of the success of hypnosis for anxiety. There are many factors that trigger or slowly bring about anxiety disorders. Our focus is to address all of these factors and include the findings of current research to help our clients conquer their anxiety problems. Imagine competing in the Olympics. Couldn’t that bring about anxiety? I’ve helped athlete’s win Gold Medals so I hope this helps you understand that stress and anxiety is very much something with which I can help you.
