The Strength of a Positive Attitude:
Many people do not understand the true strength of having a positive attitude. It is easy to become consumed within the things in our lives that are not going as planned, instead of focusing on the things in our lives that we are thankful for. If you’ve ever visited Atria’s Restaurant and Tavern in Wexford, chances are that you may have run into one of the area’s most positive and truly inspiring people. His name is Jay but his friends, family, and the patrons at Atria’s all know him as “Super Good.” No matter what is going on in Jay’s life at the time, if you ask him, “How are you today?” he will always give you the same answer. Even when times are tough, having survived cancer, brain surgery and being the primary caregiver for his wife, if you ask him, “How are you today?” he will always smile, look at you with a gleam in his eye and say, “Super Good!” We can all take a lesson from “Super Good” and when someone asks you the question, “How are you today?” no matter what is going on in your life, use it as a time to remember all of the things that you are thankful for that you have. We need to not dwell on the sorrow in our lives rather celebrate the life we were given and what can come from the future.
